Purpose: One of the major reasons we are doing this procedure is to provide students with a "database" of at least 7 different works that they could use in order to answer an AP question. They will have thought in detail abut 7 different prompts and have come up with multiple pieces of evidence. |
Brainstorming Practice: "What Did You Put For...?"

Overview
Typically, students will be concerned that they can't think of anything to say for various prompts. In a brainstorming session, students can compare answers for their approaches to answering the seven prompts from the assignments above and ultimately, help each other answer multiple prompts. Writing Practice: The Body Paragraphs

WRITING: After going over Timm Frietas' outstanding body paragraph template, assign at least 1-2 of these body paragraph templates to students based on their favorite FRQ #3 prompts from the assignment above. VARIATION: Students may benefit from turning in a body paragraph example that is color-coded like the example found in the body paragraph template document on page 3. This choice will have the following advantages:
