Overview
In this activity, students will be presented with some of Wilde's paradoxes, mostly from The Importance of Being Earnest, but also from other works. They'll be encouraged to fill them in with the typical or expected idea or sentiment. Then give them the real (Wildean) answers BUT MIXED UP and have them mix and match until they see the parallelism and symmetry of Wilde's paradoxes. |
