How to Use These Questions
Prior to presenting the works of the unit or discussing the first text, have students read and discuss the prereading questions after generating individual answers in an informal setting, such as in their notes. Students can get together in small groups first to compare answers before sharing them out loud with the rest of the class. These questions will prime students to look for these issues and consider them when they read the selections. |
